Revoke your certificate

You need to revoke your certificate if:

  • the private key of the certificate is no longer available:
     - The private key is corrupt
     
    - The password or PIN code of the private key has been forgotten
  • The private key is compromised
  • (When installing the certificate) the certificate appears to have an incorrect common name
  • the information in the certificate no longer correct (eg change of organization name)

Specifically for server certificates;

  • the private key of the certificate is no longer available:
     - There is no pending request on the server when you install the certificate
     
    - A 'private key mismatch error appears when you install the certificate on the server
     
    - The private key got lost (eg as a result of a server crash or upgrade)
